10/30/08 - Branch Re-opening: The Boiling Springs Library will open to the public again beginning Monday, November 10 at 10:00am. The newly renovated Boiling Springs branch is located at 871 Double Bridge Road in Boiling Springs.
10/7/08 - New Exhibit:
Earth from Space is organized by the Smithsonian Institution Traveling Exhibition Service in collaboration with the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. The exhibition has been made possible by Global Imagination and runs through November 30, 2008. Additional support has been provided by the U.S. Geological Survey and the Smithsonian Women's Committee. The display includes 41 vivid, freestanding units organized into seven sections developed in collaboration with the Center for Earth and Planetary Studies at the Smithsonian's National Air and Space Museum (NASM), and explains how satellite imagery is gathered and used to expand our understanding of life on Earth. Included is a digital video globe.
10/3/08 - The Library Store now has a new blog entitled Window Shopping. This will highlight interesting and fun information about the Library Store and some other things related to the Libraries too. Check it Out!
9/8/08 - Digital Collections: The Herald-Journal Willis Collection is now available digitally through the Libraries' website. This collection of over 400 historical photographs was donated by the Herald-Journal in 1999. Most of the photographs were taken by Alfred Tennyson Willis, a Spartanburg commercial photographer, and date from the early 1900s to the 1940s. Learn more about Digital Collections
